DIJON MUSTARD PORK CHOPS AND FRESH HERBS

Ideal for pairing with Veramonte Red Blend

Ingredients:

  • 4 thick pork chops
  • 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tbsp. water
  • 5 tbsp. butter at room temperature
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 branch of fresh rosemary
  • 1 branch of fresh thyme
  • 1 branch of fresh oregano
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Thinly chop the fresh herbs. Put the butter, mustard, garlic, herbs and pepper in a bowl. Mix well. Place butter on plastic film and make a roll and refrigerate until it solidifies.
  2. Dry the pork chops well with paper towels. Place them on a plate and give them salt and pepper.
  3. Seal the pork chops in a hot pan with a little olive oil for 5 minutes each side until they are golden. Once ready add vinegar, water and pieces of flavored butter. Turn off the heat and let the butter melt. Mix everything to form a sauce and serve hot.
